CO Foundation  –“ Creating Opportunities” – has been active in Nigeria for the past ten years setting up and implementing projects to support people who are living far below the poverty line. The projects focus on the development of medical services, education and assisting disabled people and youngsters in earning their own income. 

As mentioned before all projects of the CO Foundation are based on important principles. By using intrinsic strengths of local people to initiate an activity, making sure the activity is in the long run self-sustainable and avoiding overhead costs in the Netherlands assuring a 100% availability of funds in Nigeria it is our opinion that we stand for longlasting developmental aid at a local level.

The CO Foundation projects are initiated and supported by donations from the Netherlands. Both individuals and organisations have been and are continuing to provide the financial assistance needed to build up the local capacity necessary to eventually take over the responsibility of the activities.
