Background

In a country with so much poverty like Nigeria, disabled persons find it very difficult to sustain themselves. Knowing that a lot of healthy people are searching for a job makes it almost impossible  for a disabled person to find a job. This situation results in very poor conditions for persons with a disability without much chance for improvement. Often the only alternative for the disabled is street begging.

Objectives

The project is aimed at improving the living conditions of disabled persons in the Zaria emirate (northern part of Kaduna State ). Overall goal of the project is to fight the growing feeling of neglect among people with disabilities. The project aims at channelling their energies into sporting activities, improve the image of the disabled, and give them a sense of belonging.
